pedal covers affecting performance?

is it possible that if the screws attaching the covers to the pedal stick out a little bit behind the gas pedal will that affect performance. Like if i floor it and its not all the way floored but nearly will the car know that i want full throttle and full boost?

thanks

I left one screw out of my gas pedal for just this reason. If I had put it on the bottom left side, I do not believe I would've been able to fully depress the gas pedal, and that *could* be a safety concern at the very least...

...well i think it was the left corner lol i cant remember...

That's what I would do, how much did you have to file off the back of the screw?

a good quarter inch off of one of the screws, the car felt slower but it just could be me getting used to the power.

Did you check to see if the gas pedal will even reach the floor when WOT? The screws shouldn't interfere as most pedals don't go all the way down.

EDIT: JUst saw that some people have a goofd 1/4" If that were the case, i'd go buy a shorter screw.

Pedal covers are good/bad so you have to watch out, it would really suck to loose grip on a pedal duringf a dangerous situation.
