Scratched interior trim! Argh!! WTB
So the plastic panel in between the dash and the glovebox got scratched all to hell in my car. We had it packed full and something was resting on it and shifted around.
Regardless, I need to replace it now. I have the Black Gloss. Any ideas on how much it will cost? Do I have to buy the whole kit? Or can I just get that piece? Thanks! |

Good excuse to pick up the CF trim
This is a ~$950 kit. Check commercial section. Here: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...subcat1=134416

You should be able to order these individually from the dealer (try Dan @ United). There is a how to in the DIY section - the piece just pops off if you are very careful.

You could sand and paint all your trim piano black for less money.
I believe you have to remove the console to get 1 piece off. I think piano black would look great and save you real money... JMHO |

The installer messed up several pieces of my trim when installing a 9500ci, so I ordered a new CF kit from Dan to fix it. Can't wait for all the parts I ordered to arrive. (some parts had to be ordered from Germany)

An air-head air-bag deactivator thought the anodized aluminum dash of my Lotus was a good place to pry off the airbag covers with a metal screwdriver. This mess cost him 675.00 and me 350.00 on top of that while a local lotus dealer took almost the entire dash apart in about 8 hours. Get your money back, I did!

Try one of those Mr Clean erasers. I have a Pontiac Solstice with the most cheapest most plasticly interior know to man. A slightly dampened Mr. Clean with slight scrubbing action should do the trick. At least give it a try before buying replacement parts.

It's actually gouged, not just rubbed. It's pretty bad... Thanks for the suggestion though. I've used those Mr. Clean erasers before and are like magic!

The shop is being held responsible by my insurance company. It's really weird, seeing my baby hurt makes me feel violated. |
