There is no mention of the side blinker lights in the user's manual. All the other bulbs are described in detail except the side lights. Strange.

They are just a replacement bulb. You can push the sidemarker towards the front of the car and pop it out.

Front plate does not help people see you any easier.

Orange
bulb, over a clear bulb does.

:roundel:
theoretically the clear bulbs would be easier to see at night because the yellow lens dims the light output per watt.

Well that neon orange popsicle crap is there because DOT wants the reflector to show orange when an external light source hits it.

Can you run that by me one more time. And hang on, let me go get my first beer for the day, so I can suck this up the right way, cuz I'm not reading you correctly, I'm sure of it.

I wonder why they don't just use Orange bulbs like they do in all the other markets :iono: or like they do on the side markers for that matter.

Basically, The orange film that they put on the bulb makes it dimmer than an clear, uncovered bulb.

Edit:

It is unclear if we are talking about headlight blinkers or side blinkers on the fenders; which are we talking about?

Yeah, whenever you add any kind of tint light output does reduce, however, on the flip side the brain associates colours with function, so
White side markers can prevent other drivers from quickly being able to decipher your intentions. Leave them Orange for the rest of us !!

Remember, many of us aren't as clever as you

i cant picture the day someone gets hit becasue the other guys was looking for an orange glint instead of 3,000 pounds of steel

im pretty sure we're one of the only countries that requires this orange crap anyway and we're still horrible on accidents per capita.
its just a stupid ass american law (like the drinking age haha)
