Satellite Radio + EZ pass

Does anyone else have any problems going through ez pass lanes with your sat. radio on? I was entering the nj turnpike ez pass lanes with my sat radio on and it won't read my ez pass, samething when I exited. But when I was going through the Holland Tunnel(ez pass lane) with my sat. radio off and it reads it. anyone else have this problem?

Try it at the NJTP with it being turned off to be conclusive. I like to know what happens.

Thanks

My problem with the sat radio is that it cuts off no matter what I go under! Any freeway overpass, trees, whatever. I know,

But really, I haven't noticed any problems with my Sunpass (Florida) and Bay Pass (miami beach). I only listen to Sirius, so I know it's on everytime I go through these tolls. They work fine.

when I came back through the NJTP with the sat. radio off, ez pass goes through with no problem. Could it be that sat. radio is blocking the signal for the ez pass?

yes, I have it in the right place. the only time ez pass doesn't work is when the sat. radio is on.

I drive mostly in DE, but have been on the Jersey turnpike, PA turnpike and NY thruway with mine and never had any problem. Don't remember how much of the time I had Sirius on, but must have some of the time. It's never a problem on my normal commute in DE, and I pay 4 tolls a day.

I just experienced this same issue last Friday.

Had the satellite on, entered the ezpass lane onto the NJ turnpike. Held tag to the windshield as I went by at ~15MPH. (normally have tag affixed to window, but grabbed it from my old car that was traded in - no velcro on new car yet)

Sign said "No tag read"

Switched to FM or CD when exiting turnpike. Same routine. Got message that toll was paid/tag read.

Am thinking about ordering the tag that affixes to front license holder instead of window unit.

Anyone else with same issue?

Replace your ezpass with one that screws into your license plate. Hope that works.

I use Sat Radio almost all the time, and have no problem with Massachusetts Fastlane pass when driving through tolls in Mass, NH and Maine.

PA doesn't require front license plate so theres no holes in my front bumper. I'm not about to put holes in there just for the ez-pass. anyone else have this prob. with the nj turnpike?
