ok I just saw Wal-Mart has Valvaline 10w30 and 5 w30 full synthetic on for 25bucks for 5liters, will it be detrimental to my e88 if I run this oil.. I change it out every 5000 miles. but have always used Castrol.. I really cant see it doing anything different but would love someone much smarter than me for there advise..

A lot of people use mobil1 (myself included). It is on sale too.

More importantly is to make sure the oil you use is approved by BMW. Make sure it says: BMW approved LL-1 or Long Life 1.

The only Mobil-1 oil that carried an LL-1 rating is their European blend 0w40 with the black label on the bottle.

And don't forget to use an original BMW oil filter too.
