Hey guys,
I'm selling my Quaife LSD with 3.46 Final Drive.
nothing wrong with it, the reason I'm selling it because I'm selling the car.
I don't have my stock diff with me, so I'm asking $1300obo + your stock diff(My car is manual) and the swap installation fee. You can pick your own shop to do it. I'm located in Walnut, CA91789
if you have any question, pm me
thanks
Nick

Am I reading this right, you want the buyer to pay all the installation fees on his and your car?

FYI, you can buy a new one for $1375. Why would someone give you $1300 and their diff when they can spend $75 more and keep both... Your price makes no sense.

If I were you I would ask for a few hundred on top after all is swapped and swap fees are paid. You shouldn't come out of this deal making $1300.

Yeah I think $1300 is a reasonable offer. There's no way in hell you'd be able to get a LSD in our cars for less than $2000. Considering the diffs in the manuals are welded and not bolted AND that this has a different final drive that you'd have to purchase.... Quite a decent price. I'd pay it if he was in michigan to do the swap with me.

Yeah I paid $3250 on special sale for a standalone new pumpkin for my 6MT. $1300 with swap is a good deal. I would have taken that in a heartbeat. Even if you pay a pro shop $700 to uninstall and reinstall on two cars, that's not bad.

About the best you'll do on a new diff is about $2200-2500 net after you get your core deposit back, not including install. You might do slightly better if you take your own diff apart and have a machine shop just do the specific machining work.

Only if you can do your own uninstall, disassemble, machine work (i.e. you have an industrial size end mill+expertise), source the hardware/bolts needed, reassemble and lash correctly, reinstall all yourself you can do it for $1375 + whatever the hardware is.

Thanks, BMW, for welding the ring gear to the 6MT diff.

Good luck, you're definitely in the right state for potential buyers. Chicago has not proven to have anyone interested in my Giken, so I had to look into freighting my whole unit around. Not looking forward to the shipping costs, but hey...
