common mods/$$
gonna be selling up my E30 M3 soon and thinking about the next car.
not sure if i wanna go back to another E46 M3 as i loved that car or maybe try 135 or 335. can anyone briefly tell me the power mods and rough power increase and $$ that are commonly done to these cars? im guessing same mods apply to both cars as they share same engine yeah? or maybe point me to a thread that has this info thanks all! |

JB4 $479 = 50kw
BMS 3" downpipes $329 = 15kw VSRF 7" FMIC $450= 10kw BMS DCI $95 = 5-10kw All above power figures are an approximate crank power return. Not bad for a little over a $1k investment. As for wheel power expect anywhere from 260-270wkw. Just make sure if you do get a 135 or 335 it has the N54 motor with the twin snails. |

All parts are bolt on except a little trimming for the FMIC but most people can install all the parts except dp's (estimate $400 for install). Regarding the BMS dp's we should know in a few days once a UK member installs them on his RHD. |

honestly the car doesnt excite me.
i miss my E46 M3 so am thinking either going back to that or maybe 135i.... thanks for the replies guys. from reading mrBlonde's thread, seems like $2500 will get you decent gains and a fun maching. whats the deal with diffs? i know they arent LSD's, do they cope fine with decent power increase? |

Stock diff is fine unless you really are making the most out of the car on track days or driving 10/10th's on the back roads. As long as you have some decent tyres you don't 'need' an LSD.
