Hey guys,

now that we've got some testing and feedback under our belts, we would like to start our Official Pre-Order for the YCW Engineering Dry-Carbon Driveshaft:

MSRP will be $1499.95. This is around $100 more expensive than our competitors, but we are the only company to make them from 100% Dry Carbon Fibre (you can google wet vs dry carbon), and the only company that can balance them to 12000rpm with minimal vibration.

During back-to-back comparison tests, all of our competitors carbon propshafts vibrated like crazy once spinning over 5000rpm, as none of them possess the machines that we do to manufacture custom joints to within 0.02mm tolerance. Ours are also stress tested to withstand over 5500nm torque (that's over 4000lbs)

With the design work on the flanges almost complete, we should be able to start making a couple of test samples in December to test for installation/fitment. Providing everything goes smoothly with those, we would be looking at around January to begin processing of the production batch (i.e this Pre-Order list). Whilst we are adding to the Pre-Order list now, we won't start taking deposits (50% required) until after we have finished the test samples for installation/fitment.

Interesting, do you have a fitment for those who have the oem e92 m3 dct lsd fitted to a 2009 6mt 135i?

Due to the different driveshaft length, we don't, unfortunately

We can make one, but would need a working sample, and at least 5 confirmed orders.

Hi, I'm swapping my rear subframe and diff in my 6 speed 08 n54 135i, to a dtc 2012 m3 one.
Complete subframe and the lsd diff. So I wanted to get a custom carbon driveshaft for it, please send me a quote. The total driveshaft length should be 1325mm if I'm not mistaken.

Hey brother, since Mfactory is not responding I contacted driveshaft shop, they quoted me about $1700 for the carbon shaft shipped. Maybe we can ask them a better price if there are more interested people.
