Question on firmware updating on JB4
I sent Terry an email and am awaiting his response. BUT, I figure this might be something stupid I missed or what not. I followed the directions based on updating firmware on JB3, but couldn't get the interface to connect with out the car started. So once started and connected, I got it to upload to 100 out of 400 and then the car died and it stopped uploading. I did not think there was a way to connect to JB4 via interface without the car started? Now it says I have no firmware and to upload it before starting the car? Any ideas and thanks in advance.

I had the same thing happen to me too no interface intill start engine. I found out here and try with engine started and it work. other wise i couldn't have for life of me wouldn't work any other way. So i started with engine running, it will kill the engine automatic then contuine on with upload on the latest firm ware. finally got to work.
