headliner rattle annoying!
Hey y’all,
So I’ve noticed the headliner on my e82 getting progressively worse since the ownership of the car. I always noticed it there, but it seems to have gotten worse in the past month or two. It sounds like it comes from right around the grab handles, and I’ve tried loosening and tightening the screws but to no avail. When I push on the area this rattling stops, leading me to think some wire is rubbing on the liner or something else I’ve looked up some threads but I’ve seen more regarding the roof and gutters than the headliner itself View post on imgur.com

I've had this rattle since day 1. Wish I had a solution for you LOL.

There is basically hot glue that holds some wiring in place to the headliner. Over time it dries and the wires/glue can move. That's what your rattle is.
Remove the grab handle and you can pull that section of the headliner down just a bit and see. Simple duct tape may be a quick fix. |
