I don't know if this will help anyone but I had emailed him (via the board) because he indicated he was in florida and I thought maybe I could pick teh items up. I also wanted to know what was still available. As of 10-12-2010, 08:23 PM - he said everything was available.

Thing about these scammers is that they'll just create a new account and do a couple of posts and scam again. I'm very weary to by from members with low posts, no pics, no or low Itrader, newly created paypals.

I do wish we could get ahold of these punks so I could pistol whip'em

Done. What do the mods or admin have to do to permanently ban garbage like him from here??

I know he can probably come back uner another alias like Erv said, but at least something could be done so this guy is banished for now.

I already contacted a friend of mine that works for FHP as a detective and see what I can do and what my options are.

typically, mods/admins/etc cannot do anything regarding disputes between private buyers and sellers on a website. it's happened to me in the past where the mods/admins would not get involved

Seems about right...I guess the lesson here is buyer beware. I know that they're are alot of legit sellers on here and I've been beaten to the punch on some items, but I was patient and have been able to aquire some used parts and have bought some new.

on my other board (Evo) you have to post pics with your posting name and date. You take paper, write your posting name plus date and set it next to the item and take a pic.

No pic, name and date - its removed from the marketplace.

I used on an si forum and they made us do the exact same thing whether you were an old member and super reputable or not. Its the best solution out there for sellig parts to strangers or vice versa. The only risk in that is them never shipping the actual item. But thats usually slim to none.

Has anyone thought about looking into pp to get his acount info so they can identify him? There has been a previous ebay dispute where a group of people got scammed for cameras and they got his personal info and paid him a visit at his house. It was a funny documentary, but i believe this is what should happen to scammers.

I did. Mainly his name and email is all they will release and I forwarded it to a friend of mine that is a Detective with the FHP. I also forwarded him the other info like phone and other aliases that were here. I also informed Paypal that the person scammed 2 other people for the same items and she also noticed it too.

Is there any way to mark this thread as a scam or close/lock it?
