The sales manager and John are supposed to call me back about the Rick Hill allocation. I would love to do ED, but they seem to be willing to do PCD as well.

S.hasan546: If this allocation falls through, and you get your allocation through Motgomery BMW, would you mind giving me the list of dealerships you were working with?

i only have 1 "confirmed" allocation, 1 maybe at montgomery, and i am #1 in the waiting list for a 3rd allocation at Bill dodge bmw in maine. Whichever one gets me the production # first i will go with and i will give you my spots at the other dealerships! I got 2 of my spots from fellow 1addicts so ill keep passing the love around

Concord BMW in CA had an allocation recently but that are asking +$5k over MSRP...

Is there a list somewhere of people that are looking?

I know myself and S.hasan are looking. Anyone else having a hard time getting an allocation? Seems like the majority of people already have their cars or the allocations are going to people that are lurking the forums.

Agree. I didn't mean to suggest all allocations have been released. Was simply trying to convey that even the smallest dealers are finally getting their build spots. So some folks who have been patiently waiting at these dealerships might soon be getting a pleasant phone call from their CA.

I am not willing to pay over MSRP. Most of the dealerships I have contacted me where I have just missed getting my name in that confirmed slot were not selling over MSRP. It seems like the big dealerships in CA, TX, and elsewhere are the ones that are jacking up the price.

We won't even talk about the stealership in AZ that is selling the USED ones for 12k+ over NEW MSRP.

I understand, I called over 150 dealers over 3 days and found mine. I will be picking my car up on Saturday. Can't wait....have the music and it will be a 7 hour love affair ride home....LOL

Now I am getting callbacks which have resulted in the 3 allocations I posted today. I suspect I will get more calls and when I do I will post immediately while on the phone with the CA.

My friend might back out of his october delivery for a BSM 1M HK sound, and premium package i believe. No ED or PCD. He's gonna let me know tomorrow if he does, ill post it up

This is good to here, I would jump on 1 for MSRP... sounds lile a lot of work to find an open spot however. If anyone has an open slot I will take my place in line.

WOW BMW Montgomery is a bunch of pricks. The GM told me this morning he'd call me back with ED pricing and the spot was mine. Than when i called right now he was busy so someone else comes on the phone tells me the car is sold.
I ask him when it was sold.
He goes why does it matter. Its sold. end of discussion and than hangs up.

So they pretty much just sold it from under me b.c they didn't want to do ED. THey could have just said no ED and i woulda said no thanks anyway.

I think this is a great gesture but not sure how you can give your allocation to someone else. If you pass its the dealers car and allocation and it will likley just go to the next person on the list at that dealer. I doubt the dealer is going to allow you to call and say " I don't want the car but my friend does so please sell it to him." Again speculation on my part but makes sense right?

My order moved to 111 status today. Finally! I placed my deposit the first day that orders could be put in the Order Bank in December.

Just got word from my dealer that my order is still 047.

I thought for sure I would get a prod. number today like so many others since my "approximate prod. week" is week 36 (Sept. 10-17) and is actually earlier than some peoples confirmed prod. week here. Ughhh

I was actually going to say earlier....My advise to anyone would be to close any deal while you are on the phone right then unless of course you don't like the deal.

Since there are more than one CA trying to sell these cars at any dealer your success rate is severely diminished if you hang up without the deal. At the end of the day with 5-10 CA's calling people back they are going to take the first buyer that commits with the least effort.

Also, all of the allocation callbacks I have received they ask if the car was for me specifically. Sad but there are brokers taking these cars from people who really want them as their personal ride......

Definitely understand and the dealer can do whatever they want, but it was more so, you get the call for the allocation, turn it down, perhaps mention that you had a couple of friends interested and see what they want to do. The person that is turning down the car could also try to find out how stacked the waiting list is and see if its even worth posting.
