Throttle body coolant bypass

A simple diy mod corvette guys used to do - bypass the coolant line that heats up the throttle body

Anyone tried this on our cars?

I have an N55, soooooo no?!?

Does not have a throttle body.

Honestly though, with the throttle body, the air spends so little time in contact with that area it makes very little difference. And last thing you would want is the throttle plate icing up and getting stuck when driving in cooler weather.

In winter fair enough.. but for hot climates and plus its free, why not?/ Every little bit of efficiency counts as oppose to merely increasing boost and stressing engine components

Doesn't exist on our cars, throttle body only has a vacuum line going to it for the evap purge valve.

Thanks for that! Was wondering why there was only one line going into the throttle body.
