you need to do 2 initial WOT pulls.
Then they analyse the logs, create tune etc, you apply that, and do 2 more WOT pulls, repeat process until you are happy with it. Back road, flat , late at night or early morning - should be fine. |

If you have to do it, do it at a Freeway with a legal speed limit of 110.
I lost my license for 3 months for exceeding 35km/h then claw back to 1 month by court appeal half a year ago. The HW Patrol cops were using unmark ute with CCTV inside. Be warned! |

Keep the inside(right) lane as I find kangaroos are usually on the left, but they are very rare. Also 2AM seems to be the quietest time. I find Industrial roads too bumpy for anything more than a 0-100 run.

I got referred to PTF from Stu @ BMRA about my DCT issues.
I have sent them an email about my problems with 60' time, gonna see if they can lower the LC RPM and I have asked about detuning 1st gear.

does it mean tuning the first gear less power and making more power after car moves?

I dunno what they can or should do but lowering launch control revs would be a good start.

Lower. Around where the torque starts to kick in so 1000-1500.
2000 gets you this on PSS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4fxbD-5UfU&t=0m57s Not even Porsche does their LC properly but if you look at a 458 its set up for the street not for the strip:

My N54 just didn't like the Cobb tunes, it felt really laggy down low, and there was often what felt like a miss under high boost - although it never threw a code. I tried the sport, street, and aggressive tunes with the same problem, an annoying hesitation at times under load. I tried several different servo's and fuel brands.
Anyway, the Cobb is definitely better down low. A clear example for me is parking at work. In my parking garage at work I drive up 14 very steep narrow ramps. Stock i'd do the whole thing is 2nd without a problem, relying on that massive amount of torque to pull the car up with ease. With the Cobb i found I was having to drop back to 1st. PTF tune is back to 2nd gear coasting but with with shitloads of wheelspin if I'm not careful.. oh well WOT it definitely feels like it has more torque off boost, and more consistent between pulls. The butt meter says it pulls harder once boost is on too. No miss or hesitation after a few tanks, loses traction easily in 3rd on dry roads when boost hits. The only problem I have now is sometimes the TC throws a wobbly if I boot it too hard in 2nd. I've still got some more runs to do too to fine tune it- it just won't stop bloody raining. |

Lowering the 5k rpm on LC is not possible however you can feather the throttle while in LC mode. |
