Tint job question

So my roomates just got their cars tinted by a a dude named philipe in San Mateo area. 20% tint on a Lexus is250, and a rav4. We noticed that though the job looks very nice and clean. At night it seems to look somewhat distorted/wavy. Is this normal with aftermarket tints or is it more of a tint shop problem when using cheap tint materials. Also, whats your place of choice to get a tint job here in San francisco/bay area and or a reasonable price?

it might be cheap film, but if he just got it tinted, it could be the film and solution attaching to the window and the film could be curing. give it about a week, if the waviness is still there and the distortion is there, it is bad film. look for a place that carries llumar [metallic] or pinnacle [ceramic] tints. they are the industry leaders and the best. post in the regional section
