There are really only 2 choices
AA DME softwear or BMS Power Box. I like the BMS PowerBox as it is not a softwear down load, hence no warranty flagging issues. The Box is easily removable if needed. It gives Throttle re-map and timing / fuel bumps on the top end. Personally the re-map is well worth it.. gets totally rid of the dead pedal feeling. Great for track or street. My .02 look here >>> http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...=BMS+power+box if you search "BMS power box" you will get pages and pages of stuff

I recommend the AA tune I had the PBX for awhile, it's a good bang for buck mod, but the tune is a level above.

I also recommend a tune. You can get much more out of the engine with a proper tune. Also most tuners now offer you a BlueFin or something similar so you can put back the original setup back whenever you want.
I Recomend these 2 companies that have been talked about here before... But it seems that they are the most reliable in the Market here in Europe. Its a matter to ask them if they have someone that works with them in America. http://www.ds-motorsport.de/kontakt.html http://wintertuning.de/index.php?opt...111&Itemid=112 Use Google translator for the translation. I also know of another US company that has a really good product that is called Mynes Tuning. i am not sure they have anything for for the bmw yet, but for Minis... its becoming very popular! http://www.mynesperformance.com/ Here is a little explanation of their process http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...3-q-and-a.html I really do not want to bash or anything like that of the powerbox. They might have some good things compared to a tune. Enjoy |
