10 second car?

Any ideas on how to make the 135i a 10 second car with out replacing the engine? obviously you would need to mod the engine and turbos.

it's just a matter of time before someone has a 135 in the 10's. This is not the forum for that though. You will just get flamed for trying to go fast in a straight line in a bmw. I recommend you you get on N54tech as that's where the fastest N54 owners seem to be.

Creeping into the high 10s will happen soon with bolt-ons and nitrous. But these cars are already showing drivetrain issues as the hp increases. For sure you'd have to upgrade the rear axle half shafts and both the auto and manual trans have issues with over 500hp.

I didnt know the mt's were having issues other than needing a good clutch?


Also the fuel system is an issue, you need to use methanol past a certain point.

Please point me towards that manual tranny issue. Clutch slipping doesn't count because that can be taken care of. Also, the only nitrous user who was having auto tranny issues was having problems because he was spraying through the shift. Old Booster is setting records on an auto tranny and it seems to be holding up fine.

I have to say one day it will be a 10 sec and maybe sub 10s they have Hondas doin it for years....


HPF 1000+ hp geared correct no problem..

if u want a 10 sec car buy a honda.. cause for the price of the bmw i can build a mid 9 sec honda... BUT if u want a car that u can drive to a road track and back buy the bmw......

A Honda is a TERRIBLE platform for building a 10 second or lower car.......


Even the S2000 has to be extensively modified.......
