Here are comments from my driver Ralph Warren after using the titanium shims at Buttonwillow and Auto Club Speedway:

“With the TI Speed backing plates installed, we noticed overall improved braking performance in the H-Stock 135i car immediately. With one of the heaviest and most powerful cars in BMW CCA Club Racing, brak performance is very important to us. Although our Hawk DTC-70 brake pads handle the heat quite well, we now have less fade, lower caliper temps, shorter braking distances, more driver confidence and the pads last longer.”

Could you share how you re-routed them and why? If not pics, an explanation would be great. Looking forward to do something similar when the time comes and want to get it right

Thats good news. I've got some of these waiting to be fitted along with ferodo DS2500s.

A bit of a seprate issue but reading back through the thread about the caliper piston problems there was mention that the problem could be caused because the pistons overlapped with the holes in the pad backing plate where the material is bonded through (if that makes sense)

I guess this puts an uneven load on the pistons which could cause them to break up.

I bought the shims primarily to solve that problem.

I then got to thinking about the rear brakes.

Do they also use the ceramic caps on the pistons like the front?

Has anyone had any issues with the rear caliper pistons breaking up as well?

If so are there any shims for the rear calipers available?

Bump for the post ahead of mine regarding the rear caliper pistons.

I'm interested to know if the rear calipers have heat issues as well.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there was really ever an issue with calipers ability to deal with heat. Rather all this stemmed from using the wrong aftermarket pad (improper fitment).
