An American in Scotland

So I miss the July NJ meet because I'm in Scotland, but that doesn't a 1 Addict. While there I saw a huge number of 1 series 5 doors and several coupes. I also saw quite a few other interesting cars a few of which are pictured here. The one that really got me exited and mistified was the Honda Civic (picture in red). Other than the NSX, I think it's the most beautiful Honda I've ever seen. The bizzaro part is that it's not available in the US. Are they insane? Feel free to ID some of the other oddities (the Maserati is obvious), including what has to be the ugliest car ever made by anyone ever.

London has some insane cars running around it. I spent one day there as a lay over when I went to Germany a month ago. In one day I saw a yellow F430 Scuderia, a Benz SLR Maclaren, A TVR Sagaris, A TVR Tuscan, Many Maseratis, and a Ford GT...all on the street.

Have to agree with you tho, that Civic is sick. That Smart Convertible on the otherhand...not so much.

Civic Type R (red one) - note the triangular exhausts at rear, same both sides. Does look cool but not so good to drive, previous model (pictured later) is better
Smart Roadster (the blue and silver one) - actually a MB company
Civic Type R (pre around 05 shape - grey one with red seats)
Both civics have around 200bhp high revving normally aspirated engines - rev to over 9k - lot of fun!
Ugly car is a Fiat Multipla - main claim to fame in Europe is it can sit 3 abreast
Soft top is a Ford Street Ka

I've driven evrything but that maserati and the fiat. The sport KA has some halarious commercials. And the civic type r's in europe do not come with LSD's, so in many ways our new Civic Si's are better. I smoked the type r's all the time. They are still type r's tho. Just like an e46 m3 is still an m3 even though it's slower than our 135s.
