A little help as to where to start?

I just bought my 2012 128i metallic black with premium and m sport package, and I'm planning on doing some exterior modifications, but not really sure as to where to start. So far, I'm thinking of adding the BMW performance carbon fiber rear diffuser.

So what I want to ask is what is your first modification? And if you haven't done any, any opinions or suggestions?

Thanks!

Congratulations on the new car! The carbon fiber rear diffuser is a good start. I would also recommend to get rid of the chrome front kidney grills with a matte black set. It will make the car look much more aggressive. You can also smoke out the side turn signals to an LED turn signal. Post up some pictures of you car if you want suggestions on other modifications if you are interested.

Are replacing the grills hard?

Also, do you have a link for the LED turn signals?

Can I also get a link for the LED turn signals? Sounds like something I won't be able to resist.

BMW Performance black grills, BMW Performance CF spoiler, BMW Performance CF Mirrors and 35% tint.

I also like your idea of the CF diffuser.

One suggestion, go with OEM. Don't put any "replica" crap on your car.

Happy modding!

I just replaced my grills with the BMW high gloss black, and not only it looks awesome (my 128 is also black), they were EXTREMELY easy to replace.

You just pull and wiggle the ones installed and they will come right out. Don't need any tools. The new ones pop in by just pushing them into place.

Forget mirror covers. your car is black don't waste your money on carbonfibre

gloss black grille, performance lip spoiler (normal black FRP not carbon fibre), rear diffuser (normal black not carbonfibre)

anyway thats what I think.
better to save the money for something worth while

My mods are listed below in the order I did them. I left out the first and cheapest mods that I did which were to remove the 135 badge and to remove that blip of a stock rear spoiler.

Btw, it's not hard to take out the stock grills and the new ones do just snap back in, but you should not be able to just wiggle your grills out. If you can then they probably were not snapped in right to begin with.
