Thanks for the VIN descriptions. What factory is represented by the letter "K"? Also my airbag identifier is "5" which isn't on your list either.

Yep, it is Sparkling Graphite. It is available in the US....the paint code shown in the European catalogue is A22 (not sure if it's same in the US tho).

My current E87 1 series is Sparkling Graphite. I ordered the E90 in the same colour. Now you know why

Looks to me like its a little different at this stage than the E46 was.

Specifically, I'm talking about the area of the rear-seat folddown/pass-thru.

Some folks on bimmerfest were claiming that optioning the pass-thru makes the structure of the car less rigid. While this may have track implications I am only concerned about the safety aspects of it.

When watching the full assembly video of the E46 I seem to recall that the rear seat pass-thru area had full cross-bar braces built into each one. Is it possible that this isn't the case in the E90 even for the cars without the pass-thru?

I wonder...

Also I still haven't seen any reliable evidence that getting the pass-thru option reduces the safety of the car. Has anybody ever seen anything like that?

I wonder if any E90s from Leipzig will come to the US? Current cars all appear to be produced in Munich.
