This is just a thought but we could also get M flight involved in this, that would add more people and split the cost a little more.

Do you guys think we could get this thing rolling? Would be awesome no?

But...... we would need somebody who's trusted by everyone and willing to manage the $$$ funds. And don't look at me for this . Maybe we could ask Dackelone??? our newly and most respected moderator

Then the next issue, if we manage to make it work financially we'll have to settle with a leftover date (wich aint many) and that might well be somewere
in the middle of the week. Will we be bring in a caterer for breakfast and lunch? Are some of you guys staying at hotels in the area or not... Spang is just a bit more than one hour away from the track. I know I might be a little overhasty but one can only dream.

Bottomline... let me start by gathering some info about the cost

First news: see for yourselves whats available .... not much .....right! I think November is the only possibility but it could be a little frisky in the morning do. But then again who knows, it may as well be a very late indian summer.

Second news: cost to rent the track for a day in November between €10.000 and €12.000. That is whithout towingtruck and trackofficials. Has to be added,
wich I would strongly recommend

The guy who's responsable for trackrenting is still on holliday but was kind enough to respond to my phonecall. He's back at the office next week and will provide me with more info.

ok, well even if its another 3000 euro for tow trucks and officals, it would only be around 375euro a person if we had 40 people going. i have no doubt that we can make that happen if we were renting out a famous track just for a BMW day.

Further info rolled in today! The guy stood up to his promise and mailed me the costs to rent Spa for 1 day track low saison € 12500 + taxes 21% proposal 12 or 13 or 14 nov.
high saison € 16000+taxes not a chance!!!! waiting list
tow truck € 425 + taxes
18 track officials € 910
34 track officials € 1630
Track officials depending how many cars on track
So in order to pay the same as on public driving days we'll need 70 subscriptions but we can run an open pitlane instead of 25 minutes runs.
With 40 cars each driver will have to choke up € 413,75.

WOW!!!! I honestly thought it was going ot be SUPER expensive. The thing will be finding 70 people to run in November. €415 is not bad at all if you can find what they are asking for. Definetly keeping an eye on this.

I think this is where getting M flight involved and posting in other European forums like we are doing with the June event will help accumulate numbers. Plus, the earlier we get the ball rolling with a sign up list the earlier we can see if this is at all possible to accomplish.

I agree, if we want it to work we should start now to see who's willing to pay up to € 415 for one trackday in ........november. I ran my car last november on the 8 and yes it was a bit chilly but most important the track was dry all day long.

Wow...how did I miss so much information being shared and I missed that there were updates....great news gs/e60/1m?!!!

450 euros or less for an entire day of controlled chaos is a drop in the bucket and a hell of a lot safer for those of us who value our investments and don't have dedicated track cars.

Do you think the Dutch club would allow us to tag along with them? 350 euros is a great price...

Any other car groups doing dedicated track days that we could connect with?

I'll push this to M Flight and see what their thoughts are.

70 cars doesn't sound like it would be difficult to get when you figure that we had 40+ cars during our 1erforum.de and 1addicts.com drive to the ring in March/April last year...but really, how many of those drivers want to and are willing to pay over 400 euros to drive on a track???

This is great collaboration...keep the thoughts and ideas flowing.
