replacement bulbs
Hi there,
Does anyone know where the best/cheapest place is to get replacement bulbs for a 130i. I have the Bi xeneon headlights fitted. I have seen a few companies on e-bay selling the super white LED ones. Does anyone have any experience with these? thanks Paul. |

Nothing much, if you want it ... PM me. I still have it.
I was just after something less white. I found they are as bright as the GP thunder I have now. It does have flicker when it turns off like neon lights. I thought that is very cool.

IF you are only replacing ONE xeon bulb.... I would bite the bullet and pay the kings ransom over at a BMW dealer. I know over here in Germany ONE xenon bulb runs about 200 euros. An aftermarket Philips or Osram runs about 120 euros. But the color will not match from one maker to the next. ie one OE and one OEM bulb. from RealOEM.com Bulb Xenon light with ignition element D1S 2 63217162862 $212.43 |

Osram and Philips both make 50% brighter bulbs. Osram markets theirs as "Silver Star". I forget what Philips calls theirs.
Just remember... 50% more light doesn't mean you can see 50% further! I think you only gain like 10 meters further light output. ? |

Xenons change color over time as well, so really should be replaced in pairs if you're fussy.

If you want something that looks good, Phillips Crystal Vision is nice. Doesn't give any extra light output, but make your lights look very blue/white.

I generally use Phillips XTreme H7 for my E46. Get them usually from autobulbsdirect.co.uk They are a +80% bulb...
very very bright but definitely short life compared to standard bulbs. |
