450 more in UK for 2012?

Just back from my dealer who told me my Jan 5th del date may change to ready for Christmas!!!

He also told me (and I assume this is already old news on the forum):
A) they are doing VO on standard 1 series
B) there are rumours (which I guess means no conf from HQ) that there will be 450 more 1Ms for 2012 production.

Any thoughts?

Yep - this again. How do people on this forum know more about production dates than the dealers? I'm not saying they don't, just questioning the logic.

yes, this is true, we have already sold 2 VO F20 1er at the dealership I work at. Doesn't look nearly as nice though.

I thought the UK had trouble selling their 450 units at MSRP, so why would BMW want to do a second production run if it was even possible?

LOL. Just got my 1 of 450 plate fitted after 5 months of ownership!

Agree about the reasons for producing more when there are 20 used now available and even some build slots still available.

However if these 2012 1M's will be M-DCT/CF roof/450bhp CSL models in Monte Carlo Blue then put me down for one.

1M will be produced until March 2012 for the world except the US which has already halted production. And no 2012 for the US. Close thread.

Are there really build slots available still?! Wow. Guess that's global financial crisis...

I know there was an unclaimed 1M at my dealership a fortnight ago.

Well I mean there are cancellations and the like still available to spec, not necessarily new allocations.

If they produced more than 450, I think they'll be 450 UK customers suing the ar$e off BMW UK for mis-selling.
