I tried to squeeze it out of my new CA today, but he truly had no information on the 1 series. He even showed me his BMW update portal and there was nothing in it. However, he said he was going to have the General Manager try to contact the factory on Monday to see when production for 2013 starts and what features/colors will be added/deleted.

I'll post whatever I find out here on Monday.

So I spoke to another CA today (much more helpful) he said he try to contact the factory on Monday and see if he could confirm his theory: My car got pushed to a MY2013. Bittersweet I guess, I just rented a car for a month so I guess I'll see how far that gets me.
Let us know what you find out!

Hey, if you don't mind me asking when did production start on your 2012 when it switched from 2011 to 12? And how long after did you actually get the car? Thanks!

Yah, I told my CA in March, when I heard the rumors, unfortunately I think we'll
be waiting until at least July before we hear any real info.

I guess I was lucky. My car will be delivered to me tomorrow and I waited a total of 6 weeks from initial order to picking it up. I was told 6 to 8 weeks is the normal time and I will have gotten mine in 6 weeks, which does count 4 days at the dealership doing the PPK, pre-delivery and tint. Hope all of you who are waiting get your cars expediently. I know you are all as excited as I am.

Update for you on the PPK. Got a call from my sales person on the day of delivery telling me the PPK will not be installed as promised as there is an issue with the "ECU accepting the upgrade." I told him I wanted details so I could post them here as I have seen quite a few other people comment with the same issue. I am currently waiting on a call back and will post what I am told. Now I have to drive a 100 miles on a different day and wait for them to perform the upgrade. Nice that I have such a good ride to take, bad that I will have to waste a day to do it.

Mine took 7 weeks and that was with thanksgiving ,christmas ,and new years holidays. It was actually here before i was expecting. I read somewhere that they shut down production like a month for the year change to switch everything over?

hmm idk, J Lau above had his production end 5/15/12 so I'm not sure what they're actually doing, and then there are production schedules from BMW that say they officially end in June, but who knows.

One would expect MY2012 production to end in June 2012. Has anyone got hold of a MY2013 production sheet yet?

No prob. Maybe you could help me with something lol

The way I understand it, the 135is only comes with the glacier aluminum trim and you cannot order wood as an alternative correct? I absolutely loathe the aluminum trim. That's just a personal opinion I don't wish to offend anyone. However, I think that the wood is a classier more luxurious look.

Getting to the point. --> Is the aluminum the ONLY trim offered in the IS ??

That's what it's looking like right now, I'm going to contact my CA in the next few weeks. Glacier trim is a deal breaker for me also.
