Hey Adam, so what are the changes that have been made to this years event?

Hot mix, closer barriers for spectators etc.

Hot mix is being layed mid October and will cover the first 110m. We will also have a highway sweeper, rather than the gutter sweeper the airport provided this year. Rather than sweeping the who runway, we will be concentrating on the middle 15m of the runway and the return lane. Yes, there will still be stones, but it will be 1000 times better than last year

Same spectator area as last year, however, we have also added a spectator area right next to the start line as well, so about 15m from the cars

Those are the perfect changes. I'm really glad you listened to and acted on the feedback from last year. That kind of thing rarely happens and I'm sure it will be a great event! I won't be there this year but maybe I'll go again in 2014.
