WTB: 135i Manual

Hey Everyone

We are looking for a 135i, in Manual, ideally white with red leather interior and I Drive. If anyone has one, or knows of one for sale, in NSW or VIC or ACT ideally, please let us know!

Thanks

OK after looking at one with a red interior yesterday, decided we would prefer the black! The red does look nice, but its a bit OTT for our tastes, and will require constant cleaning to keep it looking its best.

Now, there is one in Melb with what we like, and there is one in Brisbane, but it has no I drive, but only 28000km, and abotu 8K cheaper. The one in Melb is 52000km, white, i drive, manual, and the one in Brisbane is the same but no I Drive. Thoughts?

I'd go the 28,000 kms one. After a year or two, resale would favor this car. 24,000 lower kms in the eyes of a buyer is gold. Speaking from experience with a m/t 135 with low kms and no idrive. $8k cheaper also helps too lol.

I didn't care for iDrive at the time of purchasing my secondhand 135, I wish I had it now though.

Me too .. however not for the navigation, but rather to have an easier interface to work with to navigate through my MP3s etc!

Given the price and KM difference in question though, I'd probably go with the one in Brissy!

Yeah 8K buys a lot of mods!

Without iDrive, you can still connect your iPod/iPhone via an AUX or USB and navigate using the device itself yeah?

And is the stereo in the non iDrive and iDrive models the same? The non iDrive car has the "Professional" stereo, which I understand is the base one, the iDrive model doesn't say anything, but it doesn't have the tweeters in the door, so I assume its also the base model stereo?

Definitely the one with less km and cheaper lol

iDrive is not worth paying $8k extra plus getting a car with twice the kms. iDrive is "nice to have" but we have it in our X3 but I don't miss it when I'm in the 135 which doesn't have it. The scrolling and lag etc. is kind of annoying tbh.

the dynavin is also a good alternative for those without idrive. there is a android version, which slots in between the middle 2 passenger airvents, or the windows version which is much cheaper and just replaces the existing head unit.

Correct. The OEM cable ($40 on ebay) uses both AUX and USB hence keeps the device charged, and functioning is really simple!

I bought tweeters from a damaged 135i... plugged straight into the speakers inside the door card (there's an open slot from factory for the tweeters). Didn't need an upgrade lol

WHat about the Alpine stereo upgrade? Worth it? I wouldn't mind changing head units, but I've heard if you do its a massive head ache with other car functions.

And Audison bitone, and a sub and amp might be the way to go?

I didn't end up getting iDrive, as I was in the same boat as you - the cars with idrive were some much dearer, I couldn't justify it. If was bugger all difference between a similar age/km car etc, id get idrive.

If I was in your situation, I'd get the cheaper one and get some mods

Yeah Im not sure how this guy is charging so much more. I said to him I will come down next Monday and buy the car from him, but he is not budging from 55K, and it was advertised for 58k - waay overpriced!

Plus the drive from Brisbane to Canberra is a good way to get to know the car

The $51k (maybe can knock a bit off?) 28000km white one is pretty good value imo.

Buy Kenny's. It's the only one in Aus with the BR Racing roll cage IIRC ( = street cred and business-sales boost... potentially)
