I suspect you will have a significant fitment issue with the rears. The offset is too low and will require some significant fender work unless you go to a tire width that is narrower than recommended for a 9.5 inch width wheel.

I stand corrected then. I'm running 8.5 et45 with MPSS 245/35 on BMWP springs and am quite comfortable that 255/35 would rub on my car. Maybe the extra width of the 9.5 works in your favor by stretching the width a bit and therefore reducing the diameter. May be the tire is more round than the MPSS. Not sure but glad it works for you. Regardless I suspect that this is very close to the edge as far as fitment based on all the fitments I've seen people running. Different tire or slight suspension drop could change things. These cars are fairly hard to pack with lots of tire. There is a lot of finessing to get that extra width in.
BTW. I do like those wheels. I'm obviously biased to 5 spokes on the 1er. |

i dont think mpss would fit, the hakooks fit though as they are nice and rounded. i was nervous when i got them but i did a lot of reading and saw many guys running the 18x8.5 & 9.5 ET45 both front and rear with the vmr vb3 wheels so i went for it, luckily it worked out based on tire choice.
It all comes down to the tires. |

I have vmr 705s 18-8F ET45 and 18-9.5R ET45 on Michelin pilot super sports with 245s and I don't rub dropped lil over an inch. Love the concave of those rears hard to believe they are ET45s. Looking forward to seeing them on the car!

To OP. Enkei's site shows the Kojin as available in:
18x8-42 18x8.5-35 18x9.5-35 There is no 18x8.5-45 listed. I hope the web site is not up to date as an 18x9.5-35 will be much more problematic. |

Getting tires on this week and will probably not have the patience to wait to put them on! The rears look so good.

Getting closer, snapped some pics off the offsets and getting a coat of wax on. I will be using stock size tires since they are almost brand new (dealer put them on when I bought the car)
Front 215/40 Rear 245/35

Seemed to be fine on the ride into work this morning. It was only me in the car. I'll keep an eye on it but I am not too concerned, its the same size and offset as people who run VMRs with stock size tires with no issues.
