I know where it is going to dock.

If you like stalking your car. I did go but only saw the cargo. If only I went all the way around as MickyD suggested to me. I could have seen it!

More likely to be the "or so" rather than the "1 week" to delivery.

I remember the excitement quite fondly however, it's quite extraordinary an object can do this to us really

Ahhh the agony.... question for you.... do you think it is more painful right before you get your car... or about a month and a half out?

It wasn't so bad waiting the 3 months (not). but much worst knowing it was circling the shores of each state before arriving in Melbourne. then the time at docks / customs! well worth it though.

There isn't any way i would have waited.

I got luck i guess - there were 2 of the exact car i wanted (colour, options, everything) in NSW, both at excellent prices and ready to go!

My 135i is coming on the "Toreador" and that is scheduled to dock in Melbourne on 1st October. BMW Southbank said it would take no more than 10 days between docking and having the car ready. *cross fingers*

barcode - that's about the right time between docking and delivery. I think mine was done a little quicker (5-6 days) but they typically say 10 days to allow for delays and whether they are doing any additional 'mods', e.g. window tint, paint/leather protection etc.

10 days is standard. 10 working days that is.

If they remember to put in the paper to get the car... it would have been less than 5.

BMW dealer only have control of getting the car from prix car, detail and install - and get the car to you. What happen at Prix car and getting the car onto the transporter has proven a challenge for mine.
