James Morrison To Replace Charlie Cox On Top Gear Australia

TV Tonight is reporting that Charlie Cox will be replaced by musician James Morrison for the second season of Top Gear Australia. You might remember Morrison as the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car in episode six.

The change was supposedly due to Charlie Cox having too many media and business commitments.

“My time on Top Gear Australia was very special and it was a fantastic opportunity to be part of launching an extraordinary series. Sadly, though, I’ve lived in the UK for the past 19 years and I’m not able to give the time I want to Series Two. It seems best to leave the show and I wish James all the best in joining the two best blokes in Australian television -Warren Brown and Steve Pizzati,” Cox said

Who knows what is going to happen with the series now. Does James Morrison knows much about cars?
I guess we will have to wait and see, just hope it does not get any worse

Apparently he is a real car nut. Owns 96 cars and met his wife during a celebrity race. He also used to host a show called Behind The Wheel.

I really want it to be a good show....but it dosent hold a candle to UK top gear.

I think James Morrison replacing Charlie Cox will bring some young blood into the show. I didn't even realise he was into cars until the posts mentioned above. Until we see the new series we should give him a fair go as the presenter on Top Gear. We all gave Charlie Cox and the other 2 an opportunity but they weren't up to it for the most of us.

I predict James will be a hit. He'll carry the show without the annoying habits of Mr Cox.

He's a talented bloke and pretty cluey.
