Finally Ordered - Build Dates

After months of research and patience and looking for allocations, I was able to lock one in.

My CA said they had two (I have the second one) and both were October build dates, but when the other person ordered theirs, it got a July production date!

Has that happened to anyone else or am I just too optimistic to get in Summer so I can enjoy the car?

Numerous "octobers" are being moved up to "june/july". I sense BMW let out an initial allocation number and defaulted them to October and is adjusting as production ramps up.

I have seen dealerships getting additional allocations more than the initial 2 also. Seems like as orders get picked up more allocations get released.

I thought I was a fairly patient person and was making fun of my brother when he kept thinking about his M3 a couple of months ago when he ordered his... Now I can't wait a day, let alone until October, I really hope this moves just like you said. I have got a production #, but no production week yet

I have an Oct build date and I talked to my CA 2 days ago and it is still Oct.

Do you have a production number? And what is you status in the order bank?

I do have a production #, but the status is still 047, I think, I haven't checked with the dealer for a couple of days now. I am hoping to get scheduled for production some time soon
