bmw performance rotor vs. stock rotor

Any issues with upgrading to the bmw performance rotor while keeping all other parts (calipers, pads) stock?

I am in need of new rotors and ecs has the cross drilled and slotted BMW Performance brake discs on sale for almost the same price as the stock rotors.

Thinking I should jump on this.

Or is there any reason one should not go to the performance rotor? Just regular daily driving here.

Will replace the pads as well with stock bmw pads.

Thanks.

The performance rotors are definitely an upgrade. In terms of noticing the difference daily I wouldn't quite put that on JUST rotors. You will notice a different on the track and under constant duress, but not necessarily on a one stop occasion. If you can splurge on them go for it!

I bought the Performance rotors just bc I thought they look cool. They ARE lighter( by about 1 lb) than the standard rotors.

The only difference I notice is after I was my car (myself)... when I go to use the brakes for the first time... they work! With the standard brakes, you would have to "test" the brakes once or twice before they would really work after washing the car.

Cool. They are like $18 more or something like that then the regular rotors (for the pair). Guess I will pick a pair up.

Are you doing all corners or just the front? Are you replacing the pads? What type?

Just planning on doing the front right now. So may look a little weird if I go performance. Am starting to think I might just go with oem replacement ones.

Not sure about the pads. Have about 30,000 miles on them right now. Need to figure out about how long pads typically last. If I did replace, would likely just go with oem.

I'd go with stoptech. They're cheaper and do the same thing.
