Best Suspension package for Time Attack and the street?
I am doing Time Attacks regularly with my daily drive. I am looking to select a suspension package that'll perform well on the track, but also be ok for the street. I not mechanically expert, so I won't want something that requires a lot of work to adjust between the track and the street. Cost will also be a factor, of course, but I also want to get something that works well.
I've done some research on the different options and each manufacturer has several options and I am finding it pretty confusing to select the one that's right for my purposes. It seems that Bilstein is very low. KW and Eibach sound promising, but expensive and, again, which of their packages might be right for my purposes? I would appreciate hearing about your experiences and any advice you have.

That describes every package. They're all good, so it's 90% personal preference. Some people are happy with any high performance suspension. Others are never happy and change their suspensions every year. I recommend try or at least ride along before you buy.

For his application I do not think all of them are "good"
I think you should get a nice double adjustable coilover with some camber plates. and my suggestion is the TCK. Yes it is abit more than the competition however there is a reason for it.

I would look at kw v2/3 or get the used eibach's in the fs section.

My vote goes to the TCK as well for what you will be doing with your car. We have competed in RTA with the TCK's on our 335i with great success and still returned a reasonable street ride. The motorsport valving package in the TCK Koni DA's are very precise and can take just about anything you throw at it.
With careful slection of spring rates, I think you can still have a good daily driver without taking away too much track performance. |

Thanks for your comments. I looked up the TCK package and it does seem to be exactly what I'm looking for. The used Eibachs are tempting too. Cheers.

I am interested in the TC Kline but at the moment can't really afford it. How much would it be front/rear with springs. I'd like to know that way maybe I could set aside money every month to go towards it. I autocrossed for the second time with my "tune" and now I have too much power. What tires would you suggest as well? I have been running Continental Extreme Contact DW and they do well on the street, but for more fast paced driving such as autocross I have been let down.

Ha that's exactly what I have now. TCK D/As with TCK camber plates, and Yokohama AD08s. 235s all around. I am my face is getting pulled to the side because of the grip now

The other funny thing is that, most of the people who buy these kits from TCK or myself, do not and rather not spend their time in the forums. I guess they would rather spend their spare time enjoying the TCK Doubles either on the street or the track. |

Take a look but as far as modifications go, I'd go with sway bars, strut bars and coilovers. Everything else is kind of unnecessary.
