It's testament to your writing skills that I even went through your Celica build thread.
Not knowing much about Celica's prior, I am now enlightened and have also seen the destructive power of the humble potato chip! Tell me you are a journalist / budding writer / columnist and did not follow the typical Asian requisite of Doctor / Lawyer / Engineer! Long may your posts continue...... |

Hahaha. No I am not a journalist/budding writer/columnist.
I also didn't follow the Asian prerequisite... That much. I just enjoy making these build threads for others to see. |

I am involved with a offer from someone in Australia to buy/test out a new clutch/flywheel combo. It is a custom item which should have excellent performance. It should beat the price and performance of equivalent US options.
However since its a custom item and version 1... It will take a few weeks to fabricate. I will mention more about it closer to having the combo in my possession. For those who are looking for a heavy duty single plate or heavy duty twin plate mated with a single mass flywheel. Hold on for a bit and stay tuned. The car will also be tuned once the drivetrain is sorted. |

RHD Downpipes
Any tips on installing the RHD downpipes?
Got my set & can't get to bloody anything. Got a quote of 5 Hrs @ $95P/Hr so would prefer to fit myself if possible but only have ramps & stands no lift. |

Man its only $500 just pay it and get it done, just look at it this way you spent all this time on the forum, it would of been done by now. Again you will spend as much money on tools and you may still come out with a head fuck of a job.
hahaha Ps good luck |

It did not end well. There was several months of delays and issues getting the SMFW and ceramic clutch in my hands. The end product was not what I was sold and it still had problems and not performing the way it should. It is currently slipping already and it will be ripped out in the coming weeks once I return from my Sydney/Melbourne trip. It was pretty disappointing, what made matters worst is that the suppliers have ceased contact. I will not name them for the time being. Sorry for the lack of updates guys. I have been meaning to finish it for quite some time now and I have made my attempts. I am just lacking the motivation, the pictures are uploaded, I have already story boarded it, and it is half typed at home. I will try to commit to finishing it soon. The car has been transformed recently with further changes both cosmetically and mechanically. It is currently punching out 420RWHP on 100% E85. It will also be featured on BMW Car Magazine in the UK in the coming weeks. I can't comment too much on this but once the magazine is on the shelves I can post a few more things. Here is the dyno anyway: |

That's the exact reason i DIY, no matter how frustrating/painful something is... unless it takes me literally 5 hours for every workshop hour, i've saved what i consider worth my time >_< Quote:
sorry to hear it turned out bad one day, there'll be a high quality, high power twin plate clutch for the N54 haha. As it is.. still seems like SPEC or bust (or MAYBE clutchmasters if you're game) UK magazine? interesting haha |

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll take it to a specialist to get the DP's isntalled. It's a much tougher job on a RHD than LHD it seems.
What mods are required to run 100 E85? Am I reading that Dyno correctly...639 Nm of torque. WOW.....I thought my 500 was pretty good. |
