Make sure their CANBUS led lights. Or Cree error free lights. I'm unsure of any fixes. I'm no expert in the lighting field but that's what I've heard.

I have heard you can disable this check via coding, and enable more options thats not turned on. Has anyone done coding on the 1?

Don't know about coding, but all you really need is a resistor in the circuit to trick the computer and think that there is a resistance of a normal light so it doesn't throw a code.

Not all bulbs are created equal! Some of the 'better' ones will plug in and work just fine with the bulb out monitoring logic. But, as said, the better way to deal with this is to add in a resistor so that it emulates an incandescent bulb. The place that sold them will usually have some info on how to do it, the location, and size of resistor required.

While it probably would never come back to bite you, technically, per US DOT rules, unless the bulb has been tested and approved by DOT, it cannot be used in any of the marker, stop, turn lamps in the vehicle. Those that do meet those rules, will be marked. IOW, LED bulbs, unless the vehicle came with them, or you replace incandescents in those locations with those meeting DOT tested and approved requirements, they are not legal, and you could fail an inspection or be cited. Probably never happen, but it could - just don't piss off an officer during a stop.
