Sorry Guys, Unfortunately, I wont be able to attend on the 17th of August 2008 as I will be away.

Happy to make it on the weekend prior to the 17th, which is Sunday the 10th (Actually maybe not) as i would be drunk as a homeless guy from frankston (its my missus's b'day party on the 9th).....

So you guys have fun and will catch up on the next meet!

Cheers,
Ronnie

Smarm, any update on this? Worked out the route yet? Wished this was a bit later than the 17th because I would have my suspension then. Oh well, that will have to wait till the next drive.

The route has been on the first page since I posted I started the thread Way

I might actually have trouble making this due to a family situation. If there's demand, we could always delay the cruise until another weekend....

Ok Mr Organiser. What's happening with this? Still meeting at Ringwood station at 8.15? My mate might come along in a R32.

Yeah, what's the story? I also have a mate who's keen to bring his new Golf GTi.

Well we are doomed then. Doctors can't organise, that's why they have nurses.

I can think of another reason why nurses exist. Ahem.

8:15 at Ringwood on a Sunday? Christ, that's early! Too early.

What the! Doctors and nurses...... Where's this forum going!!!

As for the drive, I drove up the spur last Sunday for something to do (it's a bit like that when you've got one of these 135's isn't it?!) and found the wet and icy roads quite dangerous and just plain not fun. Having to back off with these cars is kinda sad.....

Given that the weather forecast is for showers on Sunday clearing to a fine day on Monday, I think the weather is likely to be better in the arvo rather than the morning- particularly around the spur.

Gotta tell you, those curves are no fun in the wet and I doubt that any of us would be too keen to bingle our cars just for the hell of it.

What about we meet in the afternoon to be safer with the weather at say 1.00pm- just transplant the day to the arvo instead of the morning.

For me, I would't be coming in the morning if it's still showery- particulalry with the Active processor that Ive just had fitted!

Any takers for the arvo instead of the morning?

1.00pm for a 1.15pm start at the same meeting place.

Agreed. Wet roads are no fun, and just plain dangerous. The downside is, of course, having to contend with other, slower cars on the roads in the afternoon...

Afternoon is cool for me. I agree with John and Corey. If it's gonna be wet in the morning then let's aim for the arvo.
