oem hid to halogen back to hid conversion?

Hello all,
I have a 08 e82 with oem adaptive xenon’s. The passanger side mounting tab is broken off and I’m trying to find replacements.
All the replacement housings seem to be for halogen only models.

So what I want to know is can I do the housing swap, code out the xenon’s and use the xenon’s that come with the kit. They would work on halogen models so I have to assume it would work on a coded xenon model too right?

Any input is appreciated as I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out

I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

You're saying that a mounting tab for your headlight broke off, you can only find halogen housings... But you want to code out the Xenon lights so you can use Xenons?

Why not just fix the tabs with the repair kit?

As noted above, just replace the mounts. BMW made the headlights with easily replaceable tabs. I noticed a broken one on my headlight as I was dealing with some other headlight issues and found this kit.

Well I saw this too late. I ended up buying a set of oem used headlights. Atleast the last owner of them did a led angel eye conversion and upgraded the hids. I still have the broken headlights so I’ll prob have them rebuilt with all the cool parts and rebuilt the tabs.
Thanks guys!
