Pics.. finally. I used a 3mm spacer, and no rubbing at all, even with my lowered car. The thing looks like a stock car with this fat rubber on it.

I'll tell you... This thing is going to be tenacious.

Front fender from above. It looks like it would slightly rub, but it doesn't.

Larry, questions from a spacer newbie:
- A 3mm spacer won't have a hubcentric lip - is it held in place just with the bolts? Or is it so thin that some of the hub lip still protrudes? Questions about the solidity...
- This changes the balance of the wheel by sticking it out - will this have any long-term impacts on the wheel bearings? Or is this just a track setup?

The car looks absolutely amazing! This is exactly what I'll do with mine (420 days or so from today ).

It grabs the hubcentric ring enough that I don't need a hubcentric extender. You're right.. the 3 & 5mm spacers do not have hubcentric extenders on them. Having lost a wheel at an auto on my car in the past due to the wheel not grabbing the hubcentric ring enough... I'm wary, but this seems safe.

This is only my autox/DE setup. Not a fan of it for the street, unless I'm too lazy to swap out for an event.

Hi Larry - sorry for being a little slow (I'm not the brightest bulb on the light string  )

Could you summarize your final tire/wheel/offsets/spacers again for f and r?

Front: 255/XXx17 on 17x8.5 et YY / Z spacer

Rear: 255/XXx17 on 17x8.5 et YY / Z spacer

You should be wary - there is a thread on B'forums track section about wheel and spacer combinations. There are spacers with the tapered centers and spacers without.

So depending on if you have wheels with centering rings or not, that would determine which type spacer you should use.

Front is 255/40/17 Advan Neova AD07 with 3mm H&R spacer on 17x9 LTW5 ET 41
Rear is 255/40/17 Advan Neova AD07 on 17x9 LTW5 ET 41, direct bolt on.

I have the early adopter LTW5's with the centering rings. The spacers are camfered. They fit well, and I'm using the lug bolts from my 5mm spacers, even though the 3mm spacers supposedly do not need different lug bolts. I think the 5mm spacers will work as well.

There's room for a 285 in back probably, if you had the right wheel. The LTW5 would not accommodate that, as it would need about a ET 52 offset in the 17x9 fitment.

Piquing your interest a bit, Scott? I also lost about 10lbs a corner with those meatier wheels/tires.

Nope, sorry. I just put those on as a test fit (to drive around this morning) and they'll only be mounted for driving events. I already swapped 'em back to stock. They are so wide that the front kick up dirt on top of the hood.

The person that lives next to them is also a State Trooper, and my daughter's best friend's mom is also a trooper. Never had to use one of those cards, but I think I could.

It's better than a house alarm system could ever be, too.

I love the stance of the 135i as it is. Very intimidating. The addition of that wheel/tire combo makes the stance absolutely terrifying!:w00t:

I definitely have a vested interest in going to 255/40x17s on all 4 corners of the car (and good to know 275/40x17s would fit on the back if needed)

Those rims are sick, you should leave them forever not just for the track.
