Fuel injectors. How long do I have?
Hey guys. Bought a 135i a few weeks back, and was having extended crank issues on warm starts (if i left the car sit for a few hours after being driven hot) I took it to BMW and to my surprise, it has CPO warranty for another 14 months! I took it in and they couldn't replicate the problem but they did the HPFP anyways. Still having the issue which leads me to believe its a fuel injector. They said i would have to leave it for an extended period of time until they can replicate the issue. Problem is, Im driving back to CT from FL in a week in one day. Leaving at 5am, arriving at 10 or 11pm I plan on only stopping 5-6 times. Only really when I need fuel or to use the bathroom. Car has 78K on it with factory injectors. Would you advise against this? or should i just go for it?

Well i feel like it wouldn't be a battery because it only does it when its slightly worm. IE 2-3 hours to cool down. I don't believe they checked the battery. Is that something I can do or does the dealer need to do it. Sorry iff thats a dumb question. i went from a 2001 to a 2009 so its quite a bit different.

SO is where you're going devoid of a BMW dealership? If you have CPO you can walk into any dealer to get this issue taken care of. If you're only suffering from long cranks I really don't think you'll have an issue making it to your destination.
Sign up for AAA as a backup. Its essential to have anyways. |
