I ordered the chrome around the windows for my 320i SE before I picked up my car. Unfortunately BMW UK are still awaiting delivery of the chrome from Germany (around 8 weeks I have been waiting so far).

My motor is BS and I agree that against black it would finish the car off. That and the chrome tailpipe I have on too.

There was no question about me getting the chrome as I think it will look

Will also get the windows tinited when the chrome is fitted.

I'm thinking of getting the chrome surrounding but the price my dealer charges is very expensive. For 6 pieces of them, they quote me $635.00. That's crazy, right?

It looks really nice on dark body color.

On a black car the chrome trim isn't worth it, IMO.
Of course it is a matter of taste but if you want a sporty look, don't get chrome.

Why would anyone make something out of SS then cover it with black plastic or chrome?

I dont think this is right.

Amazes me that you all want chrome window surrounds

I used to make a ton of cash removing the chrome from 6 cylinder E46 and 5 and 7 Series cars here and replacing it with the more sporty black surrounds

Surely you would replace it with the satine chrome (Black shiney stuff) rather than just the matt black plastic?

I am not worried about my lack of chrome, I plan to tint the windows to a 20% VLT, and then it'll be black on black on black
:-)
