Yeah it's definitely mod upgrade time after that! And yes they look like a taxi.. I said that to my mate and he said, what more do you want out of a $50k family car? Lol
Ed do you know or heard of why my JB froze up? I couldn't indicate, no speedo and all instruments froze. Turned the car off and on quickly and still frozen. Only freed up after I sat off for 5mins for it to get back on. |

I mean, fastest 135i here is an 11.8 with how much power? Just looking at the mod list it's got to be a decent amount, at 500kg odd lighter and a straighter power curve Ed: i can't view on iphone, but: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/times/ Quick google could have me stand corrected, still not sure though :/ An (early 2000's) at 400ish rwkw doing low-mid 11's, in unknown state of trim?presumably street regoed More evidnce of 90's ones doing 9's.. With drag slicks and .. Well not technically street legal (in fact apparently one got rego cancelled forever lol) So from a quick google, 600-700whp in a brand new one with unknown level of other mods (tyre/suspension/diff etc) would be a mid (maybe a low?) ish 11 without too much difficulty I stand corrected.. That's still a pretty high power figure lol |

The Ford F6 weights 1715kgs according to Wiki (I recall it being closer to 1800kgs though) and my 135i weights 1625kgs as a vert and has done a 11.93ET. That's a difference of 90kgs between a convertible 135i and a F6. Maybe 150kgs max. The coupes weight approx 120-130 lighter than a vert. I agree with nik the 135i coupe is still a very heavy car. |

(G6E turbo) 1704kg = full tank of fuel, no occupants http://bmw.com.au/faces/jModelCompar...=17&tab=Engine (manual trim) coupe = 1455 vert = 1590 I assume their kerb is without driver and a full tank also The paperback manual for my 135 says the kerb weight of the coupe is 1560, with 90% full tank and a 75kg driver and all standard accessories. The weights are friggin everywhere! but close-ish

Those 4.0L motors are absolute beasts. That being said, they pull low 13s and the F6 possibly high 12s stock, so with a few mods you should have no trouble taking him.

TAXI time
So its TAXI time. so who is selling there 135 to purchase a Falcooooon, you would have to be mad or brain dead .
They are a tank with an engine that dates back to Noah. Mind you they could be a colector car soon as that engine will end production next year. Still it is one of the best engines out of Australia but it has been 47 years in development Get it right then can it thats the way |

They are a beast and really great bang for buck.
My brother had one and when he had it in for service he complained about "clutch spread" while driving meaning the clutch pushed further out towards the driver. They checked it out and couldn't fault it. The service guy asked him at what speed was this happening and my brother told him with a straight face nce the car gets over 220klm/ hour. I burst out laughing .... |

Standard the G6E Turbos will do from 12.9-13.1 on average. F6 is around 12.5. Mild mods will see it into the low 12s with decent fuel economy too. What does suck is the mandatory single spinner diff. It is a luxo car not a sports car so don't expect it to turn or stop like the beemer.
Fast - Yes, Cheap - Yes, Ford not a BMW - Yes, Happy with it - yes |

i wouldn't call it luxo either, when it's less luxo than even a 1er (albeit cheaper)... you'd have to look for a force6 for at least all leather ghia level. |
