Revozport "upper" splitter with a piece of alumalite in place of the smaller -- and more fragile -- cf lower Revozport splitter component.

Nice. Keep us posted on how it feels once you get this thing back onto the track.

Will do.

I'll be driving VIR North June 28-30 with the Tarheel chapter and am expecting to "tune" my aero (mostly comprised of finding the optimal angle of attack for the rear wing) in preparation for the Ultimate Track Car Challenge on July 19.

You going to change to stiffer springs to compensate for the aero?

I'll start figuring that out next weekend.

I certainly expect to be stiffening up the shocks.

Do you think you will be needing to add some kind of links to add some additional vertical support?

RRT Racing, who fabricated the lower splitter and devised the mounting system, doesn't think they're needed.

They are the "go to" shop for BMW racers in the mid-Atlantic and have built lots of track cars. I'm comfortable deferring to their expertise.

I realize this is totally necroing this thread but, do you have any details of how that splitter was mounted to the car? I want to do something similar with my 135i...splitter with no rods. Did this do well on the track? Thx.
