Buy whichever is easiest for you to get replacement pads and rotors for or have the calipers serviced. I went with the Performance Fiction BBK because it was $3500 under retail, but would have gone the Stoptech route if that wasn't the case. The only really difference between the kits is feel, which is a personal preference that can be changed with pads and fluid.
I think the AP5000r kits use a racing caliper and may lack dust boots. |

Would consider getting a hold of Jeff Ritter @ Essex:
http://www.essexparts.com/shop/compl...m3-bundle.html They also have the new RadiCal BBK: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1126953 |

Most of tuners and teams at Nürburgring use the AP race models, cause they fit any 18" rims and use any pads.
I went with Brembo GT8 355mm, as they fit my Apex 18" rims and 19" stock, and use PFC08 pads. Braking power is insane. Rear pads are Project Mu HC+.

I have an Alcon kit for e46 m3 that i'm hoping to get custom brackets made to fit my 1M.
Has anyone else tried to fit a kit from another car to the 1M?

AP will have a performance edge, but for a dual purpose car you can hardly tell the difference between any of the top BBK's.
Brembo 380mm kit will not work with 18" and some 19" wheels so keep that in mind if you have a set of track wheels/tires. |
