I've had some good times up at the Glen. You need the standard stuff like a helmet and racing shoes. But so long as the car is in good shape they usually let you track it. My dad has tracked a vert, not my 135i yet tho. So long as it has a a functional rool bar or the pop up system they let you track it. Or at least they used to. Its been a while since ive been up there.

It depends on the individual track. Some tracks on open track days will let you track a vert. Others wont, unless it has a full race roll cage. You need to call up and check.

I'm in Whitestone, but on the island often on weekends. I have to get on the RM one of these days around 2-3 AM to do a top speed run. That 2 mile bridge is where I take all of my cars for high speed runs. I do a once-around for cops waiting right by where that bridge ends before I do my high-speed run... I doubt I'll need more than a half-mile for a JB3'ed 1er to hit 150 MPH.

Hey guys. I just ordered an AW 6sp 2 days ago. Not sure how long I'll have to wait, didn't even get a VIN yet but you should see me around the island too. I'd definitely be down for bald hill, I used to take my mach 1 there. Anyone know how long the average wait should be for the car?

I have seen at least 4 128s but have not seen 135s in Suffolk and Nassau. I live in Wading River. I drive my 135s mostly on Rt. 27, exit 58 all the way to the Hamptons. Try that and your Bimmer will love it-- 100mph is like 50. That strip is wide open and the road is in excellent shape. There's No cars around, no traffic. I tried to be careful though and not to get a ticket.
I read someone mentioned about Bald Hill. The 135 can climb that hill without effort, I was amazed. This is the first time I drove a car that has so much power on demand. I'm glad there are others who enjoy the car as much as I do. I own a jet black coupe. In my opinion based from the pictures from this group, I think white is the best. It enhances more the bulldog stance and highlights the contrast of the wheels. The windows looked so open though, can anyone recommend the best workmanship for window tinting in Suffolk county?
