135i sport vs M wheels

I have a 2013 135i with the M package. I purchased a set of the 18" wheels fro the MY11/12 Sport package to use for winter wheels (these wheels are not offered for 2013). Does anyone know if there are any issues mounting those wheels on my car?

I don't believe so. I personally like the rims not on your car much better!

No issues but you were honestly better off doing for a non-m set of wheels, or 17" square not staggered. The narrower the better when it comes to snow tires and 17"s are always cheaper than 18s.

They say that 17's will fit, but there doesn't seem to be much room around the larger brake calipers of the M sport package.

I originally planned to get 17" for winter, but I got a great deal on the 18' S wheels. Upside is the car will look better from Dec thru March.

Does anyone know if the calipers changed from the S to MY13 M package... that's my fear (rubbing on wheels).

Run 17s all winter long on both our 135i with no rubbing problems.

I just got my 2013 135i M Sport Edition this summer. Bought a set of OEM BMW 178 wheels in gloss black with the car for winter tires. The tire shop test fitted one before attempting to mount my tires. There are no brake caliper clearance problems and sufficient space for stick on wheel weights to clear no matter what position they need to placed inside the wheel.

However, it's important to note that different wheels may have different clearances on the inside surface of the wheel.

BTW, I said the tire shop attempted to mount my tires. They couldn't seem to get my tires stretched over the rims. They even questioned whether the wheels were 17 inch. I think they may have been extra cautious because they could see that the wheels were brand new out of the box and any damage to them would be their responsibility. Better safe than sorry, so I ended up taking them somewhere else to be mounted. The second place told me that it was a little tricky to get the second bead over the edge of the rim. To their credit the first tire place didn't charge me anything even though I offered to pay for the time they spent on it.

As an added bonus, I was extremely lucky that the one year old winter tires from my 2006 Acura RSX Type-S were the exact size that Tire Rack lists as an alternate for the 135i in 17 inch winter tires. Saved me a lot of money.
