intro to car detailing
hey guys,
just thought some of you may be interested in this. waxit.com are holding a intro to car detailing clinic on 17th july in melb which costs $30, but you get $30 store credit so its sorta free. anyway, i've signed up cause i plan to clay my car sometime soon to try and get rid of the tar spots. Never done it before so thought it would be a good opportunity for someone to show me first hand a bit about it before i accidentally scar my car! |

Might be keen myself if I'm in town.
I'm hoping to be on a mate's yacht during the week of the Brisbane clinic however - helping him sail it back from Fiji, if the planets align correctly... I do need someone to detail my car before it goes on display next to Mattyv's at the RACQ Motorfest this Sunday |

Hey guys, just went to the intro to car detailing clinic at waxit.com.au this morning, and thought id give you guys some feedback.
It was targeted towards beginners (obviously) and i found it quite informative. went through all the basics and showed basic techniques on an audi, which was good to see first hand. Staff were all friendly, knowledgeable about different car types and helpful in helping you choose the right products for your car, which is great. They also seemed to be actual car enthusiasts. It also sounds like they'll pretty much provide you with ongoing support/advice with regards to detailing, which will deff come in handy for me. anyway, i highly recommend their clinic if you are noob like me. I think they may be holding some more advanced ones in the future??? which i will attend if i can. Liub, what happened mate??? you did a no show! lol |

My fault, was raining and wasn't paying attention. Long story short I had to get around a bunch of double parked taxi's and I didn't notice a car coming into the lane I was moving out to and scraped my front bumper against her rear side panel as she drove past, and then had one of the taxi's tap me at the back when I emergency braked. Taxi drove off too and I didn't notice the damage at the back until I got home.
I didn't think it was too bad (after I finished raging at myself), but Charlie Battisti thinks a new front bumper is needed and respray of the back. Very lucky to have filled a vacant spot for mid-Aug, otherwise earliest spot was mid-Sep! Last edited by Liub; 08-01-2010 at 05:22 AM.. |
