I was at a track day on Monday at eastern ck and there was a Scirocco R there - had been imported. Was very quick, though had had a bit done to it. Looked awesome. $80ish k to import one stock.

Its too bad they dont bring them over here. In the UK the scirocco is priced below the golf for most parts.
Something quality + better looking then a golf for less money. That would be a huge win here. However the head of vw Australia - says they would only bring the scirocco over if it had better engines. Seeming to think that the GTi engine is not enough to market the car above the golf as a sports car and at a higher price. I believe she was saying she wants a v6 in there at least.
