Hitting your head on the roof
I'm not super tall, just 6'. This has only happened to me a couple times, once about an hour after I got the car and the other day after the dealer reset my seating position. Both times the seat wasn't lowered all the way. Hitting big bumps / dips at speed will do it.
I would be rather surprised if somebody hasn't gotten injured from this. Has it happened to you? |

I've hit my head several times (6'2") mostly when I hit a bump/pot hole in the road. I've learned where the are and look ahead to find them in the road now and adjust my seat position accordingly. The only other issue I have is when I track my car with my helmet on.

I just came from a Scion FR-S and it's funny how you guys are complaining about hitting your head on the roof
I could never manage to hit my head on the roof of the FR-S, much less imagine doing it in the 135i. The Bimmer feels like an SUV in comparison. I'm 5'6" so I guess that's why. |

Full list of advantages of being short:
1) Get to be a '60s astronaut 2) Can be a Soviet tank crewman 3) Can clear tunnels of VC 4) Won't hit head on roof of sports cars |

Haha number 4 is the sole reason why I don't hate being short. Driving is my passion/hobby so it's nice to have a body size that will nicely accommodate it.

I just read this yesterday and was wondering wtf you guys were talking about, I must have accidentally adjusted my seat up and forgot to put it down. I only realized hitting a typical NJ highway expansion bump and slammed my head on the sun roof .

Sunroof delete should help a bit. Time for a CF roof (I'll definitely do this on my 1er).
