Awaiting Transport

Ive been seeing "awaiting Transport" for almost 3 weeks now. This is getting rediculous... How long did you guys wait for a ship?

a little less than a week if i remember correctly. 3 weeks sounds long. i assume you've called the bmw number and spoken to a live person? sometimes OC gets screwy.

Mine said awaiting transport all the way until it said at vpc. Call your client advisor (CA), as you're probably on a ship already.

OC has also shown my car as awaiting transport for 3 weeks. I will let people know what I find out from my CA also.

def. call ur dealer. Mine was awaiting a ship from 20th january till mid feb then it to contact dealer...

i bet urs is on the mignon or the ignast

Mine was built on Feb 14. Still awaiting transport at the dock. I tried search the shipping compant web site and there is a boat leaving today and one on March 4. So maybe the news will change soon. My dealer told me the car is due in the third or fourth week of March so things better start moving soon.

Mine is also "awaiting transport", and has been there for about 1 1/2 weeks. I spoke with live rep at BMWUSA a couple of days ago, and he told me that it's been at the dock since the 21st. My CA basically told me the same thing (funny, before he told me that he would inform me when it was built, shipped, etc...but i never heard anything until I contacted him

)

So, now I'm now coming to the realization that I will not have my car for the March kickoff, and will probably be lucky to get it before May. WTF can't BMW get these cars shipped? :iono:

Or you guys could go to the Wallenius website and enter your VIN to see if you're already on a ship like Dave said...that's how I found out mine was on the MIGNON.

The dealership told me today that it takes BMW about a week, maybe even less to build the car after the assemply has begun, its the shipping that takes forever

i'm not on a ship either. Maybe the cars are damanged like the ones one that ship that tipped and they need to be fixed.

My CA said that as of 02-21 (that was the latest he said he had info), my car is just sitting and waiting for a ship! That's all the info he had!
