First track day of the season

The season in Sweden with BMW Sport Club started yesterday.
Not my first season, but the first full season with the 1M.
Approx. 120 BMW cars participated (four 1M).
Everything from E30 318iS to E92 GTS.
Seven hours of racing with a nice mix of cars on the track.

The 1M did fine. No problems (oil temp 125 degrees C).
Brutal acceleration (BSR flash, Wagner intercooler, N55 midpipes)
Both low and high speed curves (original with H&R springs, Apex 18" rims with Toyo R888 semi slicks tires/tyres)
Good brakes (original with Castrol SRF brake fluid and Carbotech XP10/XP8 brake pads)
On the long straight I had the opportunity to compare the car with an E60 M5 (V10) upto 230-240 km/h.
A V10 isn't enough to beat a slightly tuned 1M
